They have the best vegan cheese esp with buffalo cauliflower and their sandwiches are TWO meals for me! I go there regularly you can add what you want or order a menu item. I love it!

CheeseSmith never disappoints, and the Buffalo Baby is a must-try! The perfect mix of spicy buffalo chicken and melty cheese, paired with their homemade buttermilk ranch that's absolutely to die for. The parmesan truffle fries are next-level, too--always fresh, flavorful, and totally worth the indulgence. The service is always great. Cook time can be a little long, but trust me, the food is well worth it. Plus, the location near the Cargo District makes it easy to grab your meal and explore nearby spots, many of which let you bring your food in. Or just eat inside as they have plenty of seating and a cool atmosphere. Definitely a go-to for an amazing grilled cheese experience! It's a must stop with friends when coming to Wilmington!

I love sandwiches, especially grilled cheese. I'm also a big fan of buffalo sauce. This restaurant is in a cool area with a couple other shops and restaurants. It was clean inside and the person taking my order was cheerful. You order at the counter then are given a numbered table marker and they bring your food to your table. I asked for the picked carrots and celery on the side because celery isn't usually my thing but it works perfectly with this sandwich. The bread was not greasy and toasted to just the right level of crunchiness on the outside. The sandwich was adequately cheesy and I felt like they nailed the ratio of cheese, chicken, bread, and sauce. I almost ordered another sandwich to take home (I live over an hour away at the moment) but didn't and I regret it. The portion size was bigger than I expected for $12. Some might find it expensive but I might be used to prices from bigger or more touristy cities so I thought it was a good value. The menu had a variety of interesting grilled cheese sandwiches and I saw they have a special Thanksgiving type sandwich so I'll definitely be going back soon. Update-- I got the Leftovers sandwich. I wish it had roasted turkey or even chicken instead of deli meat. The other flavors on the sandwich were delicious! The cold cuts just felt a bit too slimy for this type of hot sandwich. I got a Buffalo Baby to go and asked for the slaw on the side, just like I'd had it on my first visit but it was included on the sandwich anyhow. I don't live in the area but came for day trips to holiday markets/fall activities. I still feel like this place deserves 5 stars and I will be eating here when I return to the area!

I got the buffalo cheese and the loaded fries. The buffalo was very good but had a watery texture to it like it has been soaking, the sauce is great and complimented by the bread. The loaded fries seem to have a sweet rub seasoning on the fries and coveredddd in cheese and a sauce. The sauce isn't really a bang flavor, honestly had a sour cream taste to it. Expensive. For the two items it was 29$. The service was great, a hole in wall vibe. Not many people sit and eat. Parking is gravel and kinda cluttered. If you're in the area i would recommend! ***edit*** after warming up the second half of the buffalo sammich - there are shredded carrots on the chicken! Thats the "water" vibe i was getting when originally reviewed. Warmed up later is just as good!

Unique concept and flavors, so I'm a fan! Excited to go back because the food was great! Definitely interested in trying more grilled cheese flavors but the Brie and jam was unique and really good! Vibe was fine, nothing too memorable.

If you like anything with cheese, Cheese Smith most likely will have something you will enjoy. It is a fast casual restaurant with a great atmosphere inside and some outside seating as well. It is a part of the cargo district so there are quite a few shipped around it to check out after you eat. I got the Buffalo Baby sandwich which was essentially Buffalo chicken dip in a grilled cheese format and it was delicious. Also split a side of beer cheese fries they were also great. The beer cheese was packed with flavor, the fries were nice and crispy and overall were just really delicious. There are a lot of different grilled cheese options as well as cheese fry options, it is something fun and different and worth trying out!
